Harbourfront Wealth Partners Conference

The week of May 16, 2022, Wes Ashton attended the annual Harbourfront Wealth Partners Conference in Quebec. The 3 day conference brought together advisors from all over Canada for education and networking and was a welcome gathering after the 2 year pandemic hiatus. “It was a great opportunity to collaborate spontaneously with colleagues and create new memories - it was a lot of fun”, said Wes. Throughout the conference, leaders of the firm presented on such topics as innovation and technology and gave updates on how Harbourfront is evolving as a company. Attendees also had the opportunity to connect with the executive management team who gave financial updates and highlighted specific successes within the firm.

Alongside the education portion of the event, there was also a team-building component which provided the chance to have fun with colleagues. Wes reported that although his team didn’t win the race, they had a great time getting to know each other in a different way than regular day to day operations, and were very happy with their winning placement of “somewhere in the middle”. On the final night, the organizers arranged a red-carpet event affectionately referred to as “Harbourfront Goes to the Oscars” where participants dressed up for dinner and a show. Overall, the conference was a great reminder of how passionate people are about working at Harbourfront and how committed they are to having a positive impact on their clients’ lives.
