Crunching numbers isn’t a task just anyone can do, but it’s something that Dave is passionate about. As a Portfolio Manager, Dave oversees portfolios for high-net-worth retail and institutional clients with a primary focus on capital preservation and steady risk-adjusted returns. He also conducts macroeconomic research and in-depth equity analysis.
Dave graduated from Capilano University in 2013 with a BBA focused on economics and corporate finance. He also obtained the Chartered Investment Manager designation in 2016, passed the CFA Level 1 exam, and is currently studying for Level 2.
Something that inspires Dave is seeing the positive financial impact and peace of mind that Oakwater’s process provides to clients. Being entrusted with investments is a responsibility Dave doesn’t take lightly, and he is dedicated to seeing the financial potential in his clients - they often describe him as honest, motivated, and analytical. His proudest accomplishment to date is co-managing over $600 million in retail and institutional clients.
When he’s not working, he spends time with his wife and two sons, snowboarding, and kayaking.
